Tokyo's Inflation Rate Climbs

In a recent report released by the Statistics Bureau of Japan, Tokyo's Ku-area has witnessed a significant rise in its annual inflation rate. The rate has escalated to 3.4% in January, up from 3% in December, surpassing initial forecasts.
Detailed CPI Figures
The Consumer Price Index (CPI), excluding fresh food and energy, recorded a slight increase to 1.9%, up from last month's 1.8%. Similarly, the CPI figure that excludes only fresh food also saw an uptick, reaching 2.5% compared to the previous month's 2.4%.
