CME Group to Introduce Daily Bitcoin Futures Options Starting February 24

Expanding Crypto Derivatives: CME Group's Latest Move

In a significant development for cryptocurrency trading, CME Group has announced the launch of options on Bitcoin Friday futures, set to begin on February 24. This initiative is subject to regulatory approval and aims to provide market participants with more flexible tools for managing their Bitcoin exposure.

Giovanni Vicioso, CME Group's Global Head of Cryptocurrency Products, highlighted the advantages of the new contracts. "The introduction of daily expiries and smaller contract sizes will offer a capital-efficient solution for investors looking to adjust their positions in the volatile Bitcoin market," Vicioso explained.

This new offering is designed to complement CME Group's existing suite of cryptocurrency derivatives, including physically-settled options on Bitcoin, Ether, Micro Bitcoin, and Micro Ether futures. By doing so, it aims to enhance the risk management capabilities of investors navigating the complexities of the digital asset space.
