Kotak Mahindra Bank Sees a 10.22% Surge in Q3 FY25 Net Profit, Outpacing Last Year's Figures

Kotak Mahindra Bank has reported a significant increase in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ending December, marking a 10.22% rise to Rs 4,701 crore from Rs 4,265 crore in the same period last year. Despite this growth, the figures were slightly lower than the Rs 5,044 crore recorded in the previous quarter.

The bank's standalone net profit also saw an increase to Rs 3,304 crore, up from Rs 3,005 crore in the previous year's same quarter, though it experienced a minor decline from Rs 3,343 crore in the September quarter.

Revenue and Expenses Overview

Total income for the bank rose to Rs 16,050 crore, an increase from Rs 14,096 crore in the previous year. Expenses also saw an uptick, standing at Rs 10,869 crore compared to Rs 9,530 crore last year.

Asset Quality and Provisions

The gross non-performing assets ratio witnessed a marginal increase to 1.50% from 1.49% in the previous quarter. Provisions for the quarter increased to Rs 794 crore, higher than both Rs 579 crore in Q3 FY24 and Rs 660 crore in Q2 FY25.

On the stock market front, Kotak Mahindra Bank shares closed at Rs 1,758.65, a decrease of 2.58%, while the benchmark index fell by 0.55% on Friday.
