With the Bengaluru centre, Takeda plans to significantly expand its workforce from the current 275 employees to over 750 by the end of the year. This move underscores Takeda's commitment to creating new jobs and advancing its mission to deliver transformative treatments to patients worldwide.

Focus on Digital Innovation and Healthcare

The India ICC will specialize in platform creation, system development, software engineering, application building, and AI-driven technologies. Leveraging AI and GenAI, the centre aims to enhance efficiency and predictive analytics in healthcare, focusing on device engineering and application virtualization to drive innovation in product development and patient-centric solutions.

Building a Future-Ready Workforce

Gabriele Ricci, Takeda's chief data and technology officer, highlighted the importance of nurturing in-house talent to meet the company's future needs. The ICC in Bengaluru is not just about technology but also about business process redesign and creating a superior experience for patients. With a rich environment for talent, Takeda envisions future leadership roles, including the next CDTO, emerging from its ICCs.
