US Wholesale Inventories See a Slight Decline in November
According to the latest report from the US Census Bureau, wholesale inventories in the United States experienced a 0.2% decrease in November, aligning with analysts' predictions. The total inventories reached $901.6 billion, marking a 0.8% increase compared to the previous year.
On the sales front, merchant wholesalers saw a 0.6% rise in sales to $678 billion in November, adjusted for seasonal variations and trading-day differences, but not for price changes. This represents a 2% jump from the same period last year.
The seasonally adjusted inventory-to-sales ratio also saw a decrease, moving from 1.35 in November 2023 to 1.33 in the reported month.
