In a statement that also served as his declination to participate in the upcoming Liberal Party of Canada leadership race, LeBlanc stressed the importance of collaboration with provincial premiers, party leaders, and unions. The goal is to counteract the "unjust application of tariffs" by the incoming Trump administration.

"The economic well-being of our nation and countless Canadian families is at stake," LeBlanc declared. He urged for a collective effort to safeguard the crucial trade relationships that benefit both countries.
