Etihad Airways Enhances Travel Experience with New US Pre-Clearance Lounge
Etihad Airways, known for its pre-clearance service for the United States at its Abu Dhabi hub, has recently inaugurated a new Etihad US pre-clearance lounge at Zayed International Airport. This innovative lounge is strategically located near the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Pre-clearance facility, offering eligible guests a serene space to relax after completing their US entry formalities and before boarding their flight.
John Wright, Etihad Airways' Chief Operations & Guest Officer, emphasized the airline's commitment to providing exceptional experiences for its guests. "This new lounge represents a significant milestone in our journey to elevate the travel experience through Abu Dhabi. By integrating our premium lounge service with the convenience of US Preclearance, we're offering our guests an unparalleled journey before they even board their flight. Zayed International is the only hub in the Middle East to provide this time-saving service," Wright stated.
The US Pre-clearance Lounge is accessible to guests traveling in The Residence, First or Business classes, as well as Platinum and Emerald Etihad Guest members. Additionally, access can be purchased, subject to availability. The lounge boasts a selection of beverages and light dining options, enhancing Etihad's travel experience. Certain flights offer the convenience of direct boarding from the lounge, further streamlining the journey.
Currently, Etihad Airways operates nonstop flights to four US destinations: Boston, Chicago, New York, and Washington. The airline is set to expand its services to Atlanta in July 2025, further solidifying its presence in the US market.
