US Natural Gas Inventories Drop Significantly: EIA Report Highlights

US Natural Gas Storage Sees a Substantial Decline

According to the latest report from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), the working gas in storage across the United States experienced a notable decrease. The inventories fell by 125 billion cubic feet during the week ending December 13, compared to the previous week, bringing the total to 3,622 billion cubic feet.

Despite the weekly decline, the natural gas stockpiles were still higher on an annual basis by 20 billion cubic feet. This places the current levels at 132 billion cubic feet above the five-year average of 3,490 billion cubic feet. It's worth noting that the total working gas remains within the five-year historical range, indicating a stable yet fluctuating market condition.
