Pegasus Airlines Commits to 200 Boeing 737-10 Aircraft
Boeing announced on Thursday that Turkish airline Pegasus Airlines has placed an order for up to 200 737 MAX airplanes, including a firm order of 100 Boeing 737-10 jets and options for 100 more. This significant commitment marks a major step for both companies in their strategic growth plans.
Pegasus Airlines CEO Guliz Ozturk emphasized the flexibility of their agreement with Boeing, stating, "Within the scope of our agreement with Boeing, we have ordered a total of 200 Boeing 737-10 aircraft. The first 100 aircraft are firm orders and we will be evaluating converting the remaining 100 aircraft options into firm orders in the coming years, based on market conditions and the needs of our fleet."
The 737-10, the largest model in Boeing's 737 MAX series, is capable of carrying up to 230 passengers with a range of up to 5,740 kilometers (3,100 nautical miles). This latest order brings the total number of orders for the 737 MAX models to over 1,200 airplanes, solidifying its position as a popular choice in the aviation industry.
