Salesforce Aims to Expand AI Sales Team
San Francisco, California - Salesforce Inc.'s Chairman and CEO, Marc Benioff, announced on Tuesday at a company event that the firm intends to hire 2,000 new staff members focused on selling artificial intelligence (AI) software. Benioff emphasized the company's commitment to AI, stating, "We're adding another couple of thousand salespeople to help sell these products. We already had 9,000 referrals for the 2,000 positions that we’ve opened up. It’s amazing."
In conjunction with this announcement, Salesforce unveiled its Agentforce 2.0, a "digital labor platform for enterprises, enabling a limitless workforce through AI agents." This innovative platform is set to be generally available to customers starting February 2025, marking a significant step forward in the company's AI strategy.
