ServiceNow Appoints Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as Managing Director and Group Vice President for India and SAARC
Digital workflow company ServiceNow has announced the appointment of Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as Managing Director (MD) and Group Vice President (GVP) for its India and SAARC business, effective January 6, 2025. Lakshminarayanan, who will be based in Bengaluru, will oversee ServiceNow's business operations in India and play a pivotal role in strengthening the company's position in digital transformation and innovation across the APAC region.
Previously, Lakshminarayanan served as CEO of Airtel's domestic B2B business and held senior positions at Dell India as President and Managing Director. This strategic appointment underscores ServiceNow's commitment to one of the world's fastest-growing markets and a critical driver of digital transformation.
Detlef Krause, President APAC at ServiceNow, expressed enthusiasm about Lakshminarayanan's appointment, stating, "We're thrilled to welcome Ganesh to ServiceNow to lead our India business into its next phase of growth. India also serves as an important technical hub for ServiceNow, with its India Technology and Business Centre (ITBC) being the largest outside of the US. The country represents over 20% of ServiceNow's global workforce, with one in three engineers based in India. Notably, over 40% of the company's global product engineering is driven from India, highlighting the nation's significant role as an innovation and technology powerhouse.
