The funds will be utilized for ongoing capital expenditure expansion and strategic growth initiatives. These include enhancing production capabilities, accelerating new product development, and expanding presence across key international markets. The GPS business has demonstrated strong growth, securing orders worth Rs 2,715 crores in H1 FY25, with an open order book of Rs 6,700 crore as of November end.

Pratik Agarwal, Managing Director of Sterlite Power Transmission, emphasized the importance of this funding for the company's future growth. Alipt Sharma, Partner at GEF Capital Partners LLC, expressed excitement about the partnership and the potential for catalyzing efficiency in power transmission.

Sterlite Power Transmission has demerged into two entities: SPTL focusing on power capital goods and Sterlite Grid 5 Ltd (SGL5) focusing on transmission concessions. This strategic move positions the company for focused growth across two distinct business verticals.
