The United Kingdom's gross domestic product (GDP) experienced a marginal decline of 0.1% in October, as reported by the country's Office for National Statistics (ONS). This figure fell short of analysts' expectations, indicating a slight slowdown in economic activity.

The services sector, which is a key component of the UK economy, showed no growth during the month. Meanwhile, production output decreased by 0.6% and construction output fell by 0.4%, contributing to the overall GDP decline.

On a more positive note, the UK economy is estimated to have expanded by 0.1% on a quarterly basis, from the three months to July to the three months to October.
