Zalando to Acquire About You for €1.2 Billion

In a recent announcement, Zalando SE disclosed its definitive business combination agreement with About You SE & Co. KG. This strategic move will see Zalando offering €6.5 per share, amounting to approximately €1.2 billion for the acquisition.

A Premium Offer

The proposed acquisition price represents a significant 12% premium over the median analyst target price of €5.8. Notably, it also reflects a substantial 107% premium compared to ABOUT YOU's 3-month volume-weighted average share price as of 10 December 2024, as detailed by Zalando.

Support from About You's Leadership

Both the management and supervisory boards of About You have expressed their support for this partnership. They are expected to recommend that shareholders accept Zalando's offer once it is officially made. If all necessary regulatory approvals are obtained, the transaction is anticipated to be finalized by the summer of 2025.
