Boeing to Reduce Workforce in Washington State
In a recent WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice, The Boeing Company revealed its plan to lay off 396 staff members across Washington State. The layoffs are set to begin on February 21, as part of the company's ongoing cost-reduction efforts.
These job cuts are part of a broader strategy announced back in October, which aimed to slash around 17,000 jobs in the coming months. CEO Kelly Ortberg emphasized that Boeing needs to "reset its workforce levels to align with our financial reality."
