Japan's Finance Ministry Reports a Trade Deficit of ¥155.7 Billion in October
The Japanese Finance Ministry's latest report reveals a balance of payments (BOP) trade deficit of ¥155.7 billion for October. This marks a significant improvement from the ¥315.2 billion deficit recorded in the previous month.
Despite the overall deficit, Japan's exports experienced a notable 2.9% year-on-year increase, while imports saw a slight decrease of 0.7% annually. These figures suggest that while Japan's export sector is showing resilience, the import sector is facing challenges that are contributing to the ongoing trade deficit.
