Air India's Historic Fleet Expansion
Air India, now under the Tata Group, has announced plans to add 100 more Airbus aircraft to its fleet, building on its record-breaking 470-aircraft order from 2023. The new order includes 10 widebody A350s and 90 narrowbody A320 Family aircraft, signaling a significant step in the airline's growth strategy.

This addition to Air India's fleet is part of its broader vision to become a world-class airline connecting India to every corner of the globe. The decision reflects the airline's confidence in India's rapidly growing aviation sector and its commitment to meeting the increasing demand for air travel.
Supporting the A350 Fleet
In addition to the aircraft order, Air India has selected Airbus's Flight Hour Services-Component (FHS-C) to support the maintenance requirements of its growing A350 fleet. This partnership aims to optimize the reliability and performance of the A350s, ensuring a smooth operational experience.
With this latest order, Air India's total incoming Airbus fleet now stands at 344 aircraft, including the six A350s already received. The airline's ambitious plans also include 220 aircraft from Boeing, with 185 yet to be delivered. This strategic move positions Air India for substantial growth and underscores its role in the global aviation market.
