Gold Prices Continue to Fall
The Saigon Jewelry Company has reported a significant drop in gold prices, with a 1.50% decrease to VND85.3 million per tael. A tael is equivalent to 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.
In addition, gold ring prices have also fallen by 1.29% to VND84.5 million per tael.
Globally, gold prices have remained steady following a 3% drop in the previous session. This stability is attributed to increased safe-haven demand, triggered by President-elect Donald Trump's pledge to impose tariffs on all imports from Canada, Mexico, and China, as reported by Reuters.
Spot gold is currently steady at $2,625.48 per ounce, having reached its lowest point since November 18 earlier in the session. Meanwhile, U.S. gold futures have edged 0.3% higher to $2,625.80.
