US Job Openings Remain Steady in October

According to a report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Tuesday, job openings in the United States remained relatively unchanged in October, standing at 7.7 million. This figure is higher than the expected 7.5 million, indicating a stable job market.

The Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) revealed that the number of hires in October was 5.3 million, showing little change. The rate of hires remained at 3.3%.

The separation rate remained unchanged at 3.3% in October compared to September, with total separations at 5.3 million. The quits rate was also little changed at 2.1%, with the number of quits at 3.3 million.
