Australia's Inflation Rate Unchanged
According to the latest report from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Australia's monthly consumer price index (CPI) maintained an annual pace of 2.4% in March, mirroring February's figures.
Core Inflation Measures Dip Slightly
The CPI, excluding volatile items and holiday travel, recorded a slight decrease to 2.6% in March from February's 2.7%. Additionally, the "trimmed mean," a core inflation measure designed to minimize the impact of irregular price changes, remained steady at an annual rate of 2.7%.
