Investors on Wall Street showed renewed optimism on Tuesday, driving major stock indices higher in anticipation of President Donald Trump's upcoming speech in Michigan. The focus is on expected tariff relief for automakers, a move that could significantly impact the industry.
Stock Indices Show Significant Gains
The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged by 0.75%, or 300 points, with Honeywell leading the charge with a 5.40% increase. The Nasdaq 100 also saw gains, climbing 0.61%, thanks in part to a 5.77% jump by Cadence. The S&P 500 wasn't left behind, closing 0.58% higher, buoyed by SBA Communications' impressive 6.82% rise.
