US Dollar Sees Slight Increase Against Vietnamese Dong Amid Global Trade Optimism

Market Trends

The dollar remained steady on the black market at VND26,480, marking a 2.54% increase against the dong since the beginning of the year.

Global Impact

Globally, the dollar is heading for its first weekly gain since mid-March, fueled by China's decision to grant some tariff exemptions for U.S. imports. This move sparks hope for a potential thaw in the trade war between the two economic giants.

Market strategist Fiona Cincotta from City Index commented, "It feels like it's heading more towards de-escalation than escalation."

Additionally, the dollar saw a 0.67% increase against the yen and a 0.09% rise against the Swiss franc.
