The United States saw a modest increase in its oil rig count, reaching 483 in the week ending April 25, as reported by Baker Hughes. This marks a rise of two rigs from the previous week, yet reflects a significant annual decrease of 23 rigs.

Gas Rig and Total Rig Counts

In the same period, the gas rig count in the U.S. experienced a slight uptick by one, totaling 99. However, compared to last year, there's a decline of 6 rigs. The overall rig count in the country now stands at 587, showing a minor weekly increase of two but a yearly drop of 26.

Canadian Rig Count Overview

Canada's total rig count decreased by six to 128 weekly. Specifically, oil rigs fell by six to 81, while the number of gas rigs remained steady at 47, unchanged from the week before.
