Wall Street Rides High on Tech Stocks
Wall Street experienced a notable uptick this Thursday, with tech stocks leading the charge. Giants in the tech sector such as Nvidia, Meta, Amazon, Tesla, and Microsoft each saw their shares climb by around 2%. The semiconductor industry wasn't left behind, with Microchip Technology Inc. and ON Semiconductor posting impressive gains of 10.48% and 7.67%, respectively.

Trade War Updates Keep Investors on Edge
Amid the market's upward trajectory, the spotlight also shone on the ongoing trade tensions between China and the United States. Chinese officials, including Ministry of Commerce representative Guo Jiakun, clarified that no trade negotiations are currently in progress, dismissing earlier reports of bilateral discussions. Guo emphasized the need for the elimination of what he termed "unilateral" trade barriers.
Market Indices Show Promising Growth
The financial markets reflected optimism, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 0.73%, or 290 points, by mid-morning. The Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 also enjoyed robust increases of 1.85% and 1.32%, respectively. In currency news, the euro appreciated by 0.59% against the dollar, trading at $1.13788.
