In a bold statement, Revolut Group Holdings Ltd CEO Nikolay Storonsky announced the company's ambitious target to reach 100 million daily active users across 100 countries. This revelation came alongside the release of Revolut's annual report for 2024, showcasing significant growth and profitability.
Financial Highlights and Growth
The digital banking giant reported a 38% increase in its global customer base, now totaling 52.5 million users. Additionally, customer balances saw a 66% surge, reaching $38 billion (£30 billion). Group revenues experienced a remarkable 72% jump to $4.0 billion (£3.1 billion), up from $2.2 billion (£1.8 billion) in 2023, demonstrating robust performance across all revenue streams.
Profitability and Market Position
Celebrating its fourth consecutive year of profitability, Revolut's profit before tax soared by 149% to $1.4 billion (£1.1 billion), with net profit more than doubling to $1.0 billion (£790 million). "This outstanding performance has solidified our position as Europe's most valuable private technology company," stated Storonsky, highlighting the confidence of investors in Revolut's future trajectory.
