Verizon Reports Strong Q1 2025 Financial Performance

Verizon Communications announced a notable 1.5% year-over-year revenue growth in the first quarter of 2025, totaling $33.5 billion. The company also saw a 6.3% increase in net income, reaching $5 billion, and earnings per share (EPS) rose to $1.15 from $1.09 in the previous year.

2025 Outlook and Strategic Initiatives

Looking ahead, Verizon projects a 2% to 2.8% rise in wireless service revenue for 2025, with EPS growth anticipated between 0% and 3%. Capital expenditures are forecasted to be in the range of $17.5 billion to $18.5 billion.

CEO Hans Vestberg highlighted the company's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, mentioning new programs like the 3-year price lock, free phone guarantee for consumers, and My Biz Plan for small and medium-sized businesses. Despite these positive developments, Verizon's shares experienced a 3.59% decline in premarket trading, settling at $41.39.
