Technical Issue Briefly Disrupts Operations at Delhi Airport
Delhi airport's Terminal 1 experienced a brief technical glitch during check-in on Tuesday, coinciding with the shift of all operations from Terminal 2 to T1 due to maintenance works.
"We experienced a technical issue at T1 check-in. Our team along with stakeholders are resolving it and operations are normalising. We regret the inconvenience caused," Delhi airport operator DIAL said in a post on X at 1250 hrs.
Quick Resolution and Passenger Advisory
An official mentioned that the issue related to the baggage belt was quickly resolved. IndiGo informed passengers via X about a temporary baggage belt failure, advising of potential longer wait times during check-in and baggage collection.

Current Operational Terminals and Capacity
Currently, T1 and T3 are operational at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), with one of the four runways under maintenance. The expanded T1 and T3 can accommodate 40 million and 45 million passengers annually, respectively, while the now-closed T2 had a capacity for 15 million passengers.
