American Airlines Announces Free Wi-Fi Initiative

In a groundbreaking move, American Airlines Inc. revealed plans to offer free Wi-Fi on more than 2 million flights, covering 90% of its fleet, beginning in January 2026. This premium service will be exclusively available to members of the airline's AAdvantage loyalty program.

Partnerships Powering the Upgrade

The airline is partnering with AT&T Inc., utilizing satellite services from Viasat and Intelsat, to enhance inflight connectivity. Additionally, American Airlines is set to equip over 500 regional aircraft with high-speed Wi-Fi by the end of 2025, ensuring a seamless experience for passengers when the free service launches.
