South Korea's Kospi saw a significant rise of 1.02%, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng and Japan's Nikkei 225 also enjoyed gains of 0.34% and 0.96% respectively. However, the story was mixed in mainland China, with the Shanghai Composite remaining flat and the Shenzhen Composite losing 0.43%. Meanwhile, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 closed 0.25% higher.
