The Dispute and Its Resolution

The conflict, which lasted nearly three months, centered around the usage rights of the aforementioned brand names. Macrotech Developers, under Abhishek's leadership, initiated legal proceedings in the Bombay High Court to prevent Abhinandan and his real estate ventures from using the 'Lodha' and 'Lodha Group' names. The court's intervention led to mediation by Justice Raveendran, culminating in a peaceful settlement.

Terms of the Settlement

As per the agreement, Macrotech retains ownership and exclusive rights to the 'Lodha' and 'Lodha Group' brands, while Abhinandan secures exclusive rights to the 'House of Abhinandan Lodha' (HoABL) brand. The parties have mutually agreed that 'Lodha Group' and 'House of Abhinandan Lodha' will operate independently, with no affiliations, a decision they plan to communicate widely.

Final Agreements

The settlement also stipulates that neither brother will have any claims or rights over the other's business ventures, marking a clear demarcation of their professional territories.
