Recent Spike in Natural Gas Inventories
According to the latest report from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), the United States has seen a significant increase in natural gas inventories. The week ending April 4 recorded a net increase of 57 billion cubic feet (Bcf), bringing the total working gas storage to 1,830 Bcf.
Year-over-Year Comparison
Despite the recent uptick, gas stocks have decreased by 450 Bcf compared to the same period last year. Additionally, current levels remain 40 Bcf below the five-year average of 1,870 Bcf. However, it's noteworthy that the total working gas still falls within the five-year historical range.
