Amazon CEO's Compensation Sees Significant Jump

Amazon.com Inc. disclosed in its annual proxy statement that CEO Andy Jassy's total compensation reached $40.1 million in 2024, showcasing a 37% increase from the previous year's $29.2 million.

Base Salary Remains Unchanged

Despite the overall increase, Jassy's base salary stayed constant at $365,000, the same as in 2023. Amazon highlighted that no restricted stock unit awards were granted to Jassy in 2024, continuing a trend since 2021.

Stock Performance Drives Compensation Growth

The tech giant attributed the rise in Jassy's realized compensation to the company's stock price performance, which includes salary, other components, and the value of stock vested during the year.
