BMW Reports a Slight Decline in Global Sales for Q1 2025

The BMW Group announced on Thursday a 1.4% decrease in global sales for the first quarter of 2025, totaling 586,149 units compared to the previous year.

Electric Vehicles Drive Growth Despite Overall Sales Drop

Highlighting a silver lining, the automaker reported a significant 32.4% year-over-year increase in fully-electric vehicle sales, with 109,516 units sold worldwide. Europe led the charge with an impressive 64.2% surge in all-electric vehicle deliveries.

Regional Sales Performance Varies

While Europe and the United States saw positive growth in total sales, up by 6.2% and 4.1% respectively, China experienced a sharp 17.2% decline. Following the report, BMW's stock price rose by 5.66%, reaching €67.115 per share.
