Through a post on X, Ackman recommended a 30, 60, or 90-day pause prior to the tariffs' enforcement. This period, he argues, would facilitate crucial negotiations and avert significant global economic turmoil.

"Implementing tariffs without allowing time for deal-making causes undue harm. If a country fails to negotiate in good faith, then President Trump can enforce the tariffs," Ackman stated, emphasizing the importance of a measured approach.
