Market Turmoil as Dow Jones Swings Dramatically
In a day of dramatic fluctuations, the Dow Jones Industrial Average briefly soared over 850 points, only to retreat back into negative territory. This rollercoaster ride was fueled by rumors of a potential 90-day delay in global tariff impositions, excluding China, as suggested by U.S. officials.

By 10:19 am ET, the Dow had surged 2.26%, or 856 points, with the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 also experiencing significant jumps. However, the rally was short-lived. By 10:28 am ET, the Dow had shed 471 points, and the other indexes also retreated, following reports that the White House was unaware of any such tariff delay.
