Market Turmoil as Dow Jones Swings Dramatically
In a day of dramatic fluctuations, the Dow Jones Industrial Average briefly soared over 850 points, recovering from a 4% drop to a 2% gain, before plummeting back into negative territory. This rollercoaster ride was triggered by rumors of a potential 90-day delay in global tariff impositions, excluding China, as suggested by U.S. officials.

However, the initial market optimism was short-lived. Following a statement from CNBC that no White House officials were aware of such a tariff delay, the indexes swiftly reversed their gains. By 10:28 am ET, the Dow Jones had shed 471 points, the Nasdaq 100 lost 0.30%, and the S&P 500 tumbled 0.73%.
Currency Markets Remain Steady
Amidst the stock market's volatility, the euro remained stable against the dollar, trading at 1.09683 at 10:16 am ET.
