New Twist in Lodha Branding Forgery Case
MUMBAI: A startling development has emerged in the ongoing 'Lodha' branding forgery dispute. House of Abhinandan Lodha, accused by Macrotech Developers of unlawfully utilizing the 'Lodha' brand name, has now lodged a police complaint alleging that an unknown entity committed fraud under its name.

In a detailed 73-page complaint filed on April 3, House of Abhinandan Lodha revealed that forged documents were used to alter the names of four of its group companies. This complaint comes a day after Macrotech disclosed to the exchanges about fabricated documents being used to rename two of House of Abhinandan Lodha's companies with the 'Lodha' prefix.
Legal Battle Over the 'Lodha' Brand
The dispute between Macrotech, led by Abhishek Lodha, and House of Abhinandan Lodha, headed by his younger brother Abhinandan, centers around the copyright of the 'Lodha' brand name in their real estate ventures. The court has recently directed both parties to mediation.
Macrotech has formed an internal committee to investigate the forgery allegations, highlighting the escalating tensions between the two factions of the Lodha family.
