Hyundai's Bold Move to Protect Consumers
In a significant step to safeguard its customers from the unpredictability of tariffs and volatile market conditions, Hyundai Motor America has announced a price freeze initiative. Effective until June 2, 2025, this guarantee ensures that the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) will not increase for buyers or lessees of Hyundai vehicles during this period.
CEO's Statement on Consumer Stability
"Understanding the consumer's concern over potential price hikes, we aim to offer stability in these uncertain times. Our MSRP commitment reflects our broader strategy to deliver exceptional vehicles to the American market," stated Jose Munoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company.
Industry-Wide Responses to Tariffs
This initiative mirrors actions by other automotive giants. Stellantis, overseeing brands like Jeep and Dodge, is extending employee pricing to all customers. Similarly, Ford's "From America, For America" promotion enables purchases of 2024 and 2025 models at employee rates, responding to the U.S. government's imposition of a 25% tariff on imported vehicles.
