Turkey Sees Slight Dip in Inflation to 38.10% in March, Housing Prices Surge by 68.63%

Annual Inflation Adjusts Downward

According to the latest data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, Turkey's annual inflation rate experienced a slight decrease to 38.10% in March from 39.05% in February. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) also saw a monthly increase of 2.46%.

Sector-Specific Price Surges

Breaking down the figures, housing prices led the surge with an annual increase of 68.63%, followed by food and non-alcoholic beverage prices at 37.12%, and transportation costs which rose by 21.59%.

Core Inflation Insights

Excluding volatile items such as energy, food and non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and gold, the core CPI grew by 37.42% annually and 1.46% on a monthly basis.
