Spain's Inflation Sees a Notable Decrease

According to the preliminary reading by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), the annual inflation rate in Spain decreased to 2.3% in March, down from 3% in April. This marks a significant shift in the country's economic landscape.

Monthly and Core Consumer Prices

Consumer prices experienced a slight increase of 0.1% month over month. Meanwhile, core consumer prices saw an annual rise of 2%, with a monthly growth of 0.4% during the same period.

Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP)

The HICP in March showed a monthly increase of 0.7% and an annual rise of 2.2%, further indicating the changing dynamics of Spain's inflation rates.
