Unifi Mutual Fund to Expand Portfolio with Two New Funds
CHENNAI: In a strategic move to diversify its investment offerings, Unifi Mutual Fund is set to introduce two new funds within the next four months. This announcement follows closely after the successful launch of its inaugural scheme just a fortnight ago.
"Our initial fund, launched on March 3 and closed by March 7, attracted 2,200 investors in just five days," shared Sarath Reddy, founder of Unifi Capital, during the dedication ceremony of the Unifi Mutual Fund. He further elaborated on the company's vision, stating, "Our strategy is to maintain a lean portfolio, limiting ourselves to only three funds over the next five years. This approach positions us uniquely as the fund house with the fewest number of funds nationwide, a decision we are quite pleased with."
Reddy also provided insights into the nature of the upcoming funds. "The first fund was focused on fixed income. The second will be entirely equity-based. The third, expected to be a hybrid, will offer flexibility between equity and debt investments. We aim to launch the flexicap equity fund by May, with the hybrid fund following in June or July," he explained.
