Trading Volume
Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange saw a 10% decrease, amounting to VND20.674 trillion (US$809.6 million).
Key Performers
Among the VN-30 basket, which includes the 30 largest capped stocks, 17 tickers showed gains. Notably, SHB of Saigon Hanoi Commercial Bank led with a 5.1% increase, followed by BCM of Becamex Investment and Industrial Development with a 3.5% rise, and VPB of VPBank with a 3.1% uptick.
Decliners and Foreign Investment
Despite the overall positive trend, nine blue chips experienced a decline, including BVH of Bao Viet Holdings, which dropped by 1.12%. Foreign investors emerged as net buyers, investing VND204 billion primarily in VCB of Vietcombank and NLG of Nam Long Investment Corp.
Other Indices
The HNX-Index for the Hanoi Stock Exchange rose by 1.67%, and the UPCoM-Index for the Unlisted Public Companies Market increased by 1.03%.
