Industrial Production Sees a Notable Increase
In a recent report by Italy's statistics office, Istat, it was revealed that industrial production in Italy experienced a significant 3.2% increase in January compared to the previous month. However, when compared year-on-year, there was a slight decline of 0.6%.

Sector-wise Growth and Decline
Breaking down the figures, January witnessed a robust growth in the production of capital goods by 4.1%, closely followed by intermediate goods at 4%, and consumer goods at 2.6%. In contrast, the energy sector saw a decrease in output by 3.4%. On a yearly comparison, only the production of consumer goods showed a positive trend with a 0.4% increase, whereas intermediate goods, capital goods, and energy sectors experienced declines of 0.6%, 0.8%, and 0.8% respectively.
