US Inflation Rate Sees Slight Decrease in February
The United States witnessed a slight decrease in its annual inflation rate, which stood at 2.8% in February, down from 3% in January, according to the latest report from the Department of Labor Statistics. This figure also fell slightly below market expectations.

Monthly Consumer Price Index Rises
On a monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) experienced a 0.2% increase. The energy index saw a 0.2% decline annually but a 0.2% rise monthly. In contrast, the food index increased by 2.6% year-on-year and 0.2% month-on-month.
Core CPI Shows Growth
Excluding food and energy, the core CPI grew by 3.1% compared to February 2024 and by 0.2% from January, indicating a steady growth in core inflation rates.
