Raptee.HV Secures $19 Million Funding and ARAI Certification for Innovative E-Two Wheeler

Chennai EV Startup Raptee.HV on the Rise

Chennai-based electric vehicle startup Raptee.HV is making headlines with its recent achievements. The company is in the midst of securing a $19 million funding round, expected to close within the next two to three weeks. "We're in the process of wrapping up our first close so a part of that $19 million has already started coming in," stated Dinesh Arjun, CEO & co-founder of Raptee.HV.

ARAI Certification Marks a Milestone

Adding to its list of accomplishments, Raptee.HV has announced the receipt of ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) certification for its T30 electric two-wheeler, which features high voltage technology. This certification is a significant milestone for the company, showcasing its commitment to innovation and quality in the EV sector.

Expansion Plans Underway

Currently operating from a 4.5-acre facility in Manapakkam, Raptee.HV has a production capacity of 1500 units per month, with plans to increase this to 9000 units. Furthermore, the company has been allocated 40 acres of land by the Tamil Nadu government in SIPCOT Cheyyar for future expansion. "Right now, we're focused on putting our first vehicle on the road and there's a lot of resources held up in that. But given that the property is allocated, we'll have to start operations on that very soon," Arjun added, highlighting the company's ambitious growth plans.
