Volkswagen Reports a Slight Revenue Increase to €324.6B in 2024 Amidst Declining Sales

Volkswagen's 2024 Financial Overview

The Volkswagen Group announced a modest 0.7% increase in sales revenue, reaching €324.6 billion for the year 2024. Despite this growth, the company faced challenges in vehicle sales, which saw a 3.5% decline to 9 million units. Deliveries to customers also decreased by 2.3%, and production fell by 3.8% to 9.3 million units.

Profit Margins and Future Expectations

Operating profit took a significant hit, dropping 15.4% to €19 billion, while earnings after tax for the entire year plunged by 30.6% to €12.4 billion. Looking ahead, Volkswagen anticipates a potential 5% increase in sales revenue for 2025 compared to the previous year.
