AIESL Lands Significant Deal with Kuwait Airways for Boeing 777 Maintenance

AI Engineering Services Ltd (AIESL), a subsidiary of the formerly government-owned Air India, has recently secured a substantial contract from Kuwait Airways. The deal involves conducting advanced maintenance checks on seven of the airline's Boeing 777 aircraft. This achievement comes as AIESL prepares for privatization in the upcoming fiscal year.

Sharad Agarwal, CEO of AIESL, expressed pride in the company's accomplishment, highlighting the trust and confidence Kuwait Airways has placed in AIESL's capabilities. "Our customer reposing confidence in us and coming back with a bigger order is a testimony to our excellence as a maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) organisation," Agarwal stated. He also mentioned that Kuwait Airways had previously sent some B777s to AIESL's facilities in Nagpur and Mumbai for maintenance, and the new order for higher checks signifies a strengthened partnership.

AIESL boasts a workforce of 5,400 employees, including 1,000 engineers, 300 specialized technicians, and 3,000 technicians. The company has reported revenues of Rs 2,100 crore per year over the last three years, showcasing its significant impact and reliability in the aviation maintenance sector.
