Shift Mindset, Revive Animal Spirits: A New Era for India Inc
In a groundbreaking announcement at the ET Awards, Indian policymakers have pledged comprehensive support to the business sector, promising to take 'ten steps with you for every one step forward'. This initiative aims to bolster national interests and encourage investment in key sectors amidst global economic uncertainties.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized the importance of viewing challenges as opportunities, a mindset inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She highlighted the government's shift from protectionism to pragmatism, ensuring Indian manufacturers, especially SMEs, have access to affordable inputs without falling victim to dumping practices.
Geopolitical Shifts and Investment Opportunities
Railways, IT, and I&B Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw echoed this sentiment, stating that geopolitical shifts would ultimately strengthen India's position on the global stage. Both ministers urged industry leaders to invest in 25-30 key products, with Vaishnaw assuring, 'If you take one step forward, govt is there to take 10 steps with you.'
The 25th ET Awards not only celebrated India's business achievements but also reflected on the country's evolving journey from optimism in the 90s to a more mature phase focusing on national interest and social responsibility.
