UK Removes Rosbank from Sanctions List

In a significant development, the United Kingdom Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) has officially removed Rosbank PJSC, a Russian universal bank, from its consolidated sanctions list. This decision, effective from Friday, means that Rosbank is no longer subjected to asset freeze or trust services sanctions.
Rosbank was initially placed under UK restrictions as part of broader measures aimed at Russian financial institutions and individuals linked to the Kremlin. Notably, this included the bank's billionaire shareholder, Vladimir Potanin.
While the UK government's notice did not provide explicit reasons for the delisting, this move follows Moscow's recent threats to seize British property within its territory, signaling a complex interplay of international relations and financial diplomacy.
