Record-Breaking Year for Lufthansa
Deutsche Lufthansa AG has announced a significant milestone in its financial performance for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024, with revenues reaching an impressive €9.4 billion. This marks a 7.8% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. Furthermore, the company celebrated its highest-ever annual revenue, totaling €37.6 billion, a 6% rise from 2023.

Financial Highlights and Future Outlook
The aviation giant also reported a 7% increase in operating income for the quarter, amounting to €10.4 billion. Earnings per share (EPS) saw a dramatic surge of 666.7% to €0.46 in the fourth quarter. However, the annual EPS experienced a 17.9% decrease, settling at €1.15 for the full year. CFO Till Streichert shared insights into the company's expectations for moderate capacity growth of around 4 percent in the coming year. This strategic move aims to bolster revenue growth, secure valuable market shares, stabilize earnings, and enhance operational efficiency. Streichert also highlighted ongoing challenges, including delays in aircraft deliveries and persistent cost pressures.
